Summer 2020 Covid-19 Update

We are open!

Camp will be 6 weeks and will begin June 29 as originally planned. Unfortunately there will be no trips this summer, however, there will be swimming.

Bunks will be limited so please sign up to ensure a spot for your child.

The health and safety of our campers and staff is of utmost priority. See below for the protocols we will be enforcing due to Covid-19.

Philadelphia's Torah Day Camp

Camp Achdus is a summer camp for boys entering Kindergarten through 8th grade. It is the first choice of parents and kids throughout the greater Philadelphia region, from Bensalem to Cherry Hill, Rhawnhurst to Bala Cynwyd

Camp Achdus is a licensed and certified day camp. All of our staff are trained and certified. You can be confident that your child will be safe, cared for, and have a blast!

Our Philosophy

The Camp Achdus philosophy is that the chinuch (formative Jewish education) of our children requires year-round involvement, and that the summer period is not only critical to maintaining the child's achievements, but specifically endowed with channels to amplify and to reinforce them through the unique experience that summer camp affords.

Covid-19 Protocols
To ensure a safe and healthy environment for our children the following procedures will be in place. Keep in mind that these protocols were made with the guidance of the Rabbanim and respective medical experts.
Before sending your son to camp please make sure of the following:

  • He has not had a fever, cough or runny nose in the past 72 hours
  • He did not have any direct contact with anyone who has or tested positive for Covid-19

Upon arriving at camp your son will have the following done:

  • His temperature will be checked
  • He will be asked pointed questions regarding if he has had any symptoms of Covid-19 (does your throat hurt etc)
  • He will be asked if he has had any contact with anyone sick

If he answers yes to any of the above HE WILL BE SENT HOME FOR at least 72 hours to ensure he is in good health and to rule out Covid-19.
Once in camp, campers will not be required to wear masks. Staff will be required to wear a mask only during an indoor activity. In addition the following protocols will be in place to ensure maximum effort to minimize any spread or contracting of the virus:

  • When possible, activities will be outside. This will include but will not be limited to; Learning groups, lunch and sports.
  • Bunks will do all activities including lunch, only with their bunk. There will be no mingling of any activities.
  • When indoors for activities every effort will made to ensure safe distancing during the activity.

We urge all parents to please try to keep the same carpool throughout the summer.

Our policy for refunds will be as follows:
